NLCC Indoor Championships

The boys track and field team competed in the 1st ever Northern Lake County Conference Championships on Thursday, March 9th held at UW-Parkside.  The boys placed 5th overall in a very competitive meet.  The Sequoits were lead by Landon Keefover who earned 4 All-Conference medals.  He placed 3rd in the 55 meter dash and 200 meter dash, 2nd in the 4x200 and was the individual champion in the 55 meter high hurdles.  Marc Gillepsie and Bill Becker earned All-Conference in 3 events each.  Gillespie in the 55 meter high hurdles (5th), 400 meter dash (6th), and 4x400 meter relay (4th).  Becker brought home hardware in the pole vault (6th), 4x200 meter relay (2nd), and the 4x400 meter relay (4th).  Other All-Conference performers include:  Sebastian Scofield (4x800, 800m), Pat Schoenfelder (4x800, 4x400), Kevin Vettese (4x800), Charlie Smith (4x800), Drew Porter (4x200), Javen London (4x200, 4x400), Brandon Etayem (triple jump), Quinn Landl (high jump), and Nico Garcia (pole vault).  Up next for the Sequoits is the Lake Michigan Invite next Saturday, March 18th at Carthage College.
